About us
Magnolia Apartment is situated in a renovated family house which was built at the turn of the 20th century. On the front wall of the building there is one, out of four preserved till today, tables commemorating the historical flood of Vistula river, which took place on 12th July, 1903. Before the Second World War there was a butcher shop which belonged to our great grandparents, in this very place. They were famous for their hospitality and eagerness to help other people. During the occupation they also helped Jews who were endangered with imprisonment in the Płaszów Ghetto. | |
Nowadays in the Podgórze district there are still a lot of remnants of Hitler’s occupancy such as the former Oskar Schindler’s Enamel Factory (today a museum), or a table masoned in Lwowska Street which commemorates the Jews murdered in the Ghetto. Not so far from the Apartment there are also world famous old Jewish quarter - Kazimierz, Podgórski Market Square along with St. Joseph’s Church or Bohaterów Getta Square (former Zgody Square). Vistula Boulevards, the Bednarski’s Park, Lasota Hill, St. Benedict’s Church, St. Benedict’s Fortification and a Starmach’s Gallery are all interesting places worth - seeing in the neighborhood. This attractive location of the Magnolia Apartment, which merges the closeness of the Main Market Square with the peacefulness and dignity of the old middle-class Cracow, should satisfy even the most demanding guests. | A placid and spacious garden with a nice playground for chidren along with a pleasant corner where you can take a rest after a tiring day gives additional charm to Magnolia Apartment.Tthere is also a parking place in a closed area at the disposal of our guests. |
